Biography
Nathaniel is the laboratory manager for the Willenbring lab at the Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree in molecular, cellular, and microbiology from California State University, Stanislaus. In the lab of Dr. Nhu-Y Stessman, Nathaniel worked on a novel antibiotic synthesis project with the goal of discovering a new class of antibacterial compounds derived from natural sources. Upon graduation, he began a new project under Dr. Tricia Van Laar, using bioinformatics to analyze the microbiomes of dark eyed juncos. His goal is to pursue a PhD in biomedical sciences to study novel therapeutics for human diseases.
